More Thoughts on Power

After all that mulling and contemplating and staying up past my bedtime thinking about last week’s theme, the perfect explanation for my thoughts came through loud and clear on twitter.

Maybe one day I’ll be that profound.

And that’s the point I was reaching for last week. Possession is so finite, so limited, so… anticlimactic. And in order to continue getting a high on possession, eventually you’ll reach for control and authority, especially over other people.

But radiating, that’s unlimited, full of potential and possibility.

And it’s not transaction-based. You can radiate without needing other people to be submissive. You can radiate without anyone even knowing you’re radiating. You can do it for no reason at all.

So for this week, look at ways you feel powerful. And then look at what you do next. Do you cling to that power? Hoard it? Or do you recycle it and radiate it out and forward?
